Herland curated by Collect:if

Herland curated by Collect:if

Herland is our irregular event that brings together the established and experimental works of women creatives, served up with good food and live music in an evocative, beautiful space. May’s Herland will be curated and hosted by Collect:if – the GWL based network for Women of Colour creatives - and tickets are now on sale.

Collect:if members from across Scotland are collaborating to bring together a truly ground-breaking evening of arts and cutting edge performances by women working across an array of genres. Performers on the night will include Sister, who explore the experiences and challenges faced by mixed race Scottish women, and Clan Macondo, who promote Latin American and AfroCaribbean culture through music and dance.

Creating Women’s History Walks

Creating Women’s History Walks

Did you know that GWL doesn’t stop at Glasgow? Our National Lifelong Learning project offers a rich, diverse programme of activities, events, courses and online resources for women of all ages and backgrounds across Scotland. Our Create Your Own Women's History Walks are an excting part of our National project.

With help from GWL and the Trails and Tales Project, be part of a team developing a short guided tour featuring local women. Bring your own knowledge, stories and memories to add to those gathered by us. Help create a route which will become part of a series of new women’s history walks around East Dunbartonshire. Over the next couple of months we'll be running these workshops in Torrance and Milngavie so please do share with anyone in those areas who you think may be interested.
